JB394: Deputy Agri Sales ManagerLocation: BallymenaSalary: £35,000 - £40,000 per annumOverview:First Military Recruitment are currently seeking a Deputy Agri Sales Manager on behalf of one of our clients.Our client encourages applications from ex-military personnel however, candidates from all backgrounds will be considered.Duties and Responsibilities for the Deputy Agri Sales Manager:

  • Assist the Agri Sales Manager in achieving sales targets and expanding market share.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with farmers, agricultural contractors, and distributors.
  • Provide technical knowledge and product recommendations to customers.
  • Identify new business opportunities and generate leads.
  • Support pricing, quotations, and contract negotiations.
  • Oversee order processing, delivery coordination, and after-sales support.
  • Conduct market research to stay ahead of industry trends and competitor activity.
  • Represent the company at trade shows, exhibitions, and industry events.
  • Train and mentor sales team members.
  • Deputise for the Sales Manager in their absence.

Skills and Qualifications for the Deputy Agri Sales Manager:

  • Proven experience in agricultural sales, construction, or a related industry.
  • Previous management or leadership experience, even if gained in a different sector.
  • Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills with farmers, contractors, and distributors.
  • A commercial mindset with the ability to identify and pursue new business opportunities.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organisational skills.
  • A full, clean UK driving license and willingness to travel as required.
  • Experience in managing or leading a sales team within a related or different industry.
  • A degree or diploma in Agriculture, Business, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and sales reporting tools.
  • Understanding of industry regulations and sustainability practices in agriculture.
