Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to patients in a care home or home care setting, ensuring their comfort and well-being. You will work closely with healthcare professionals to implement care plans and assist with daily living activities. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills and a genuine desire to help others.We have vacancy availaible for one to one care and floor shifts as well.

Duties

Assist patients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.

Support patients in mobility and transfers, ensuring their safety at all times.

Help with meal preparation and feeding as required.

Maintain accurate records of patient care and observations.

Collaborate with healthcare professionals to implement individual care plans.

Provide companionship and emotional support to patients.

Ensure a clean and safe environment for patients by adhering to hygiene standards.

Participate in training sessions and continuous professional development.

Skills

Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with patients and team members.

Ability to drive is advantageous for home care roles that require travel between clients' homes.

Familiarity with IT systems for record keeping and reporting purposes is beneficial.

Experience in a care home or home care setting is preferred but not essential.

Understanding of care plans and the ability to follow them accurately is important.

A compassionate attitude towards patient care and a willingness to learn are essential traits for success in this role.
