We are seeking a passionate Cook to join a prestigious family-owned nursing home. This part-time role offers the opportunity to be part of a creative and energetic team dedicated to providing exceptional service and nutritious meals to residents.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Prepare and cook meals and snacks according to pre-set menus, ensuring they are nutritious, appetising, and meet dietary needs.
  • Manage simple stock control, reporting goods to be ordered to relevant senior staff to maintain adequate supplies.
  • Maintain cleanliness in the kitchen, including washing up crockery and utensils, and ensuring proper disposal of waste.
  • Be attentive to residents’ dietary needs and respond to their comments and requests regarding the menu.
  • Assist in covering leave for other Kitchen Assistant staff as needed.
  • Work Hours: 8:45am to 5:15pm (2 day per week, 3 days 4th week of month)

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Good communication skills to effectively interact with residents and team members.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Previous experience in a healthcare catering role is essential.
  • Must hold Food Hygiene Level 2 & 3 certification.
