Job Description:

As a Warehouse Line Operator, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of a designated line or section within our warehouse. You will ensure that daily tasks are completed efficiently, safely, and on time, while also maintaining high standards of productivity and quality.

Shift Pattern

Monday to Friday - 06:00-14:00

Pay Rate

Pay Rate: £13.45/hour

Overtime: £17.93/hour

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervision: Lead, motivate, and manage a team of warehouse operatives to ensure efficient performance on the production line.
  • Operations Management: Monitor daily operations, ensuring that products are moved, sorted, and stored according to the company's procedures and safety standards.
  • Quality Control: Ensure the accuracy and quality of the products being processed, packed, and shipped by the team.
  • Process Improvement: Identify areas for improvement and work with management to implement more efficient processes.
  • Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure that the team follows all health and safety guidelines, reporting any issues or risks to management immediately.
  • Reporting: Provide regular updates to supervisors on operational progress, team performance, and any challenges encountered.
  • Inventory Management: Assist in tracking and managing stock levels to ensure smooth operation and timely replenishment.
  • Problem-Solving: Address and resolve any operational issues or staff concerns that may arise on the warehouse floor.

Skills and Qualifications Required:

  • Experience: Previous experience in a supervisory role within a warehouse or logistics environment is essential.
  • Leadership: Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently, prioritize workloads, and meet deadlines.
  • Problem Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Health & Safety Awareness: A solid understanding of workplace safety practices and regulations.
  • IT Skills: Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and basic computer skills (e.g., MS Office).
  • Physical Fitness: Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and moving goods, as required.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends, if necessary.
