Position: Supply Teacher / Cover Supervisor

Start Date: Immediate

Salary: £110 - £190 per day (depending on role and experience)

TeacherActive is looking for dynamic and adaptable Supply Teachers and Cover Supervisors to join our team in Banbury. As a Supply Teacher, you will have the opportunity to be offered both pre-booked and emergency cover assignments, giving you flexibility in your work schedule.

Pre-booked Work: You’ll be given the opportunity to work on planned, short-term or long-term assignments, giving you the chance to work with the same schools regularly. You’ll be notified in advance of the days you’ll be required, allowing you to plan ahead and build lasting relationships with schools.

Emergency Cover: On occasion, you may be called for last-minute emergency cover. Schools will contact us as early as 7:00 am to let us know their needs for the day, and we’ll call you with available work. This option allows you to work on the go, ensuring you have the flexibility to choose when you want to work on a day-by-day basis.

In both types of assignments, you'll be covering lessons that have already been pre-planned, whether it's for one subject or multiple subjects throughout the day. You’ll also have the chance to gain valuable experience across various school settings, furthering your teaching expertise.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lesson Delivery: Deliver pre-planned lessons across a range of subjects and key stages.

• Classroom Management: Maintain a positive and productive learning environment through effective behaviour management strategies.

• Student Support: Provide support to students with diverse learning needs, ensuring engagement and progress.

• Feedback: Provide feedback on student progress and classroom activities to relevant staff members.

The Successful Candidate Will Have:

• Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualifications.

• Experience: Experience teaching across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4; experience up to Key Stage 5 is desirable.

• Skills: Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to adapt to different teaching environments.

• Availability: Flexibility to work across various schools in the Banbury area, with availability for day-to-day cover and longer-term assignments.
