Our prestigous client in Banbury are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Park Ranger to oversee and maintain the safety of Banbury's local parks and play areas.This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about outdoor spaces and community well-being. It also provides the opportunity to make a positive impact for residents by ensuring that local green spaces remain safe, enjoyable, and accessible.

The Senior Ranger will lead a small team, liaising with stakeholders, contractors, and the public to ensure that parks and play areas are well-maintained and safe for all visitors.Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of Rangers to ensure the efficient running of parks and play areas.
  • Maintain park equipment, including playgrounds and park furniture.
  • Ensure that safety checks are carried out regularly and that any repairs or improvements are documented and addressed.
  • Respond to the community regarding service enquiries.
  • Collaborate with local schools, youth groups, and community organisations to promote the use and enjoyment of parks.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of park programs and events.
  • Contribute to the overall management of green spaces.

Skills & Experience:

  • Experience in park management, maintenance, or a similar outdoor-based role.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent knowledge of health and safety regulations and risk management.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills

Salary:

  • £34,314 - £37,938
