Berry Recruitment are NOW hiring for a committed and experienced Quality Technician to work for a Manufacturing Company in Banbury, Oxfordshire.

Role: Quality Technician

Location: Banbury, Oxfordshire

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Contract: Permanent

Salary: £25,000 - £30,000 (Depending on experience)

Key Responsibilities of the Quality Technician:

  • Reads and interprets specifications, including customer and vendor specifications.
  • Develops and assesses alternative methods to achieve uniform quality including identifying process variables.
  • Performs critical first-piece inspections.
  • Prepares original fixtures or methods for cost-effective minimization of defects.
  • Approves vendor material or operations and checks the finished product.
  • Trains other technicians.
  • Determines unstated or hidden dimensions from a specification.
  • Maximises the use of ancillary equipment, to meet defined targets and optimise output.
  • Ensures that all quality levels are maintained in accordance with Quality Control (QC) procedures, and company documentation is accurately completed.

About you:

  • Extensive knowledge of high-volume manufacturing processes.
  • Previous experience and proven track record of troubleshooting Quality Control issues.
