Bennett & Game are delighted to be partnering with a highly reputable and established top 100 accountancy practice based in Banbury as they recruit for a new Senior Accountant. Offering up to £45k (DOE), hybrid working, auto enrolled pension, vitality healthcare, medical cash plan, Flex E hours, and more.

This practice employ over 100 people across 4 different offices, and are proud to be on of the fastest growing independent practices in the UK.

The purpose of this Senior Accountant position is to support clients with accounting and tax needs, providing high quality services to Agricultural clients. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious account to further their career within a growing and reputable practice



Accounts Senior Job Overview

  • Prepare client accounts and tax returns, advising on tax payable and payment dates and to meet deadlines, finalise paperwork for dispatch for client and HMRC
  • Liaising with clients to obtain relevant information for their accounts
  • Working with managers and partners with tax planning for existing and potential clients, supporting them with specific assignments, and working with managers to develop knowledge of clients and their business
  • Identify business and personal tax planning opportunities
  • Bookkeeping, ledger maintenance, supplier maintenance, and management accounts when required
  • Prepare client tax returns, advice on tax payables and payment deadlines


Accounts Senior Job Requirements

  • Must be ACA or ACCA qualified
  • Minimum of 2 years proven accounts experience within a practice environment
  • Ability to complete accounts files accurately and efficiently
  • Ability to complete personal tax returns accurately and efficiently
  • Strong computer literacy
  • Strong active listening skills
  • Excellent problem resolutions skills and idea generation ability
  • In depth accounts prep Knowledge
  • Knowledge of Accounting systems including, CCH, Xero, Sage line 50, Farmplan and other software as required. Knowledge of their uses and benefits


Accounts Senior Salary & Benefits

  • Competitive salary dependant on experience, ranging from £35,000-£45,000
