What You Will Do:
- Develop physically accurate materials and shaders, ensuring compliance with creative and technical standards.
- Utilise expert knowledge in photography, optics, and digital scanning techniques for high-quality visualisation models.
- Build and maintain complex shading networks, focusing on methodical and efficient design.
- Create complex textures and manage material libraries, enhancing the department's output quality.
- Collaborate across multiple workstreams, including Vehicle Design and Brand, to support CGI use cases.
- Lead workflow improvements, setting new standards for texture and material quality within the industry.
What You Will Bring:
- Extensive experience in texturing, material/shader creation within the CGI industry.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Autodesk Maya, Unreal Engine, and Adobe Substance Designer.
- A deep understanding of real-world materials, physically based rendering, and shader models.
- Exceptional skills in data/file management and physical reference capture for digital reproduction.
- A track record of working efficiently in a high-paced production environment, meeting tight deadlines.
