Finance Assistant – North Down Area

SALARY: £24,500 - £25,500 pro-rata

EMPLOYMENT: 37.5 hours (open to reduced hours), hybrid working pattern, 10-month fixed-term contract opportunity

Reed Accountancy is partnered with a fantastic organisation in the North Down area in the recruitment of a Finance Assistant to work 10-month fixed-term contract basis.

Playing an integral role within the accounts team, the successful Finance Assistant will deliver professional and efficient financial support and associated administrative support to meet the operational needs of the organisation.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Accurately process invoices and credit notes into the accounts system.
  • Ensure timely payment to suppliers in accordance with agreed schedules and terms.
  • Assist with and complete balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Post and allocate all bank transactions.
  • Process credit card purchase requests for both NI and ROI.
  • Manage petty cash and debit cash cards for the organisation.
  • Complete bank lodgements.
  • Process expenses for payment.
  • Assist with updating bank mandates for the organisation.
  • Participate in and contribute to internal and external audit processes.
  • Assist with month-end processes.

What you’ll need to succeed!

  • GCSE (or equivalent) in English and Maths at grade C or above
  • Experience of Excel 
  • Have a minimum of two year’s recent experience of working in a finance or admin office.
