Purpose of the role:

The purpose of this role is to carry out the Paraplanning duties for clients and Advisors. This includes performing client research, report construction and client contact, ensuring the highest possible standard of client service, senior administrative duties, working closely with Financial Advisers to support the client advisory process, and playing a key role in the business.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Your duties will include but not be limited to:

  • Provide vital paraplanning support to the team of wealth advisers
  • Research products, financial planning solutions and investment strategies
  • Prepare recommendation reports for client meetings
  • Writing suitability reports/annual review reports
  • Provide a high level of technical support
  • Assist advisers with client management
  • Provide advisers and clients with technical reports and information
  • Ensure high worth investment transactions are carried out accurately
  • Create and implement processes and procedures within the role

The Ideal Employee:

Relevant Skills/Experience

  • Experienced with Cashcalc, X-Plan and FE Analytics is preferred but not essential
  • Experience of the Pension Switch market
  • Excellent IT skills and proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Strong technical knowledge around pensions, investments and IHT planning
  • Good communication skills

Experience required: 2 years Paraplanning experience.

Qualifications required: Must show some CII exam results or hold Level 4 qualified in Financial Planning certificate.
