Position: Qualified Teaching AssistantLocation: BargoedStart Date: January 6th 2025Duration: Jul 2025Pay: £84 - £86 per day (dependent on experience and qualifications)Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm
About the Role:A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant to join a supportive primary school in Bargoed. This role is within a KS2 classroom, assisting with general daily activities and providing targeted support for numeracy and literacy interventions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting the class teacher with the delivery of engaging lessons.
- Working with small groups or individual students to improve literacy and numeracy skills.
- Assisting with classroom management and creating a positive learning environment.
- Providing additional support to pupils with diverse learning needs.
- Helping prepare resources and maintaining a tidy, organized classroom.
Requirements:Relevant qualifications: Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).Experience: Previous experience working in a KS2 setting or supporting interventions in literacy and numeracy.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.A commitment to fostering a nurturing and inclusive environment for all pupils.
