We are looking for a reliable, experienced School Caretaker to join our welcoming primary school in Barking. This is a full-time role offering an immediate start for the right candidate.
As the caretaker, you will play a vital role in ensuring the school site is clean, safe, and well-maintained, creating a secure and pleasant environment for pupils, staff, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities:-
Opening and closing the school site daily

Carrying out general repairs, maintenance, and DIY tasks

Monitoring the premises for health & safety compliance

Liaising with contractors and managing site security

Supporting cleaning and waste disposal as needed

Ensuring all areas are safe, tidy, and in good working order

Has direct caretaking experience in a school setting

Holds a current Enhanced DBS certificate

Is proactive, practical, and able to work independently

Takes pride in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety

Is trustworthy, punctual, and dependable
