Responsibilities
  • Process and reconcile financial transactions, including invoices, Discretionary housing payments and prevention fund payments.
  • Assist in budget tracking and financial reporting.
  • Collaborate with the team manager, finance team, statutory and non-statutory organisations to ensure accurate and timely financial transactions.
  • Identify landlords offering suitable private rented accommodation for our clients at the local housing allowance rate.
  • Negotiating deposits and rental payments
  • Updating our portfolio of accommodation providers and sharing with the team.
  • Ensuring the subscription renewal of accommodation platforms.
Skills
  • Proven experience as an Administrator or in a similar role.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Process and reconcile financial transactions, including invoices, Discretionary housing payments and prevention fund payments.
  • Assist in budget tracking and financial reporting.
  • Collaborate with the team manager, finance team, statutory and non-statutory organisations to ensure accurate and timely financial transactions.
  • The ability to use computer systems, including databases as part of your daily tasks.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
  • You thrive in negotiating and accomplishing daily outcomes.

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Able to draft professional correspondence and accessible written documentation for a wide range of audiences, including letters and minutes.
  • Confident in communicating verbally to a wide range of internal and external audiences on the phone and face to face, being persuasive, diplomatic and tactful.
  • Can demonstrate knowledge, experience or relevant qualifications of working with housing and homelessness legislation, in relation to private rented housing and the Homelessness Reduction Act.
  • Can demonstrate knowledge in welfare benefits legislation (including welfare reform) to support service users effectively.
  • Can demonstrate knowledge in sourcing, negotiating, and maintaining relationships with agents and landlords in the private rented sector.
