An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Junior Buyer to join a reputable supplier specialising in scaffolding and safety equipment. This full-time role offers excellent benefits and a competitive salary.

As a Junior Buyer, you will be responsible for managing procurement processes to ensure efficiency, value for money, and continuity of supply. You will be required to travel occasionally within the UK and EU for supplier visits and site assessments as required.

You will be responsible for:

  • Placing purchase orders and managing delivery timelines to meet business requirements, addressing any supply issues proactively.
  • Overseeing procurement databases, including supplier files, delivery notes, and price lists, while participating in supplier assessments and ratings.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers, ensuring clear and effective communication.
  • Planning and preparing forward import orders based on forecasts and historical sales data.
  • Preparing cost analysis reports to support informed decision-making by management.
  • Assisting the accounts department with invoice postings and resolving discrepancies.

What we are looking for:

  • Previously worked as a Junior Buyer, Assistant Buyer, Purchaser, Procurement Assistant, Buyer, Purchasing Assistant, Buying Assistant or in a similar role.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and organisational abilities.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Awareness of commercial and financial aspects.
  • Valid UK driving licence.
  • Right to work in the UK.
