Cover Supervisor

At Engage, we’re working with a mainstream secondary school that has a good Ofsted rating in Barking to recruit full-time or part time Cover Supervisors who can work on a daily supply basis.

You will be leading lessons and covering in the absence of class teachers for varying subjects at a good Ofsted-rating school in Barking and Dagenham. The schools books Cover Supervisors through Engage Education (typically between 2-5 covers per day). We are waiting to hear from those who are available part time or full time and based locally in East London.

Bookings are available Monday to Friday and the working hours are 8:30am to 3:30pm.

If you are passionate about education and the growth within each student's learning environment this is the role for you!

• Experience working with students aged 11-16

• Flexibility to work on different subjects

• Confident managing behaviour

• An ability to build rapport with students

• Have a fun but firm presence

• An interest in education

We welcome applications from candidates with any level of experience, although previous experience of working with students with challenging behaviour will be an advantage. If you are an aspiring teacher, or an experienced cover supervisor looking for a position, this opportunity could be ideal for you. This role could also suit a candidate with experience of working as a Youth Worker or Behaviour Mentor.
