Speech and Language Teaching Assistant - Dagenham

Engage Education is currently working with a mainstream Primary School based in Barking and Dagenham, the school is looking to take on an experienced Teaching Assistant to deliver Speech and Language interventions across EYFS to Year 6.

This role is to start ASAP and will be supporting a students with speech and language difficulties across all primary year groups. You would be expected to work alongside the schools Speech and Language Therapist to follow pupils speech plans to create engaging interventions that develop language skills. This role is temporary to permanent due to the nature of the start date being immediately.

About the role:

This is a full time position working 8:30am - 3:30pm Monday to Friday. You must have:

  • Experience working with students to deliver speech and language interventions

  • Those who have experience professionally or personally worked with those on the Autistic spectrum should apply

  • Application should have a strong understanding of the challenges facing those with speech delays.

  • You may have a background in a similar schools, residential setting or with social work or youth work

  • Have a positive mindset, flexible approach and a can-do attitude
