Senior Accountant

Finchley, Hybrid working £50-55k pa

Our exclusive client provide great services to the national health service through excellent community services programmes. Based in Finchley, North London they are looking for a fully qualified accountant to work closely with the Financial Controller to provide comprehensive finances for the UK company.

Senior Accountant Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare comprehensive financial statements, budgets, and business plans.
  • Conduct thorough examinations of accounts, practices, and financial systems to identify and rectify irregularities.
  • Accurately compute taxes and prepare detailed tax returns.
  • Provide expert financial advice, including tax planning and guidance on business acquisitions and mergers.
  • Oversee expenditure, credit, payroll, and investments to ensure optimal financial health.
  • Review, implement, and adapt financial systems and controls for efficiency and compliance.
  • Perform risk analysis and tests to ensure the integrity of financial information and systems.
  • Act as a trusted advisor, liaising with clients to provide valuable financial information and advice.
  • Negotiate the terms of business deals to achieve favourable outcomes for clients.
Experience and Personality Requirements:
  • Qualified Accountant with relevant certifications (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
  • Proven experience in financial reporting, auditing, taxation, and financial management.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
