Michael Page are recruiting for a diligent, organised Bookkeeper in Hendon for this leading business in the local area. This role requires proven experience in a similar role and offers great long term stability with the potential for career progression

Client Details

Our client is a well-established player in the property industry, with a sizeable team spread across multiple locations. They are recognised for their commitment to excellence and boast a diverse portfolio of property assets.

Description

  • Maintain financial records including purchases, sales, receipts and payments
  • Work closely with the Accounting & Finance team to create and analyse financial reports
  • Ensure all financial transactions are properly recorded, filed, and reported
  • Develop monthly financial statements including cash flow, profit and loss statements, and balance sheets
  • Prepare tax returns accurately and timely
  • Inputting supplier invoices to Invoice Register
  • Monitoring apportionment and allocation between rent funds and service charge funds
  • Liaising with property managers on purchase order and invoice approval process
  • Recording invoice approval
  • Setting-up batch payment import files and importing to online banking
  • For certain suppliers, setting up manual payments
  • Ad-hoc credit card payments
  • Supplier statement reconciliation
  • Entering and reconciling direct debit payments
  • Monitoring and organising shared AP email account
  • Handling emails and phone calls from suppliers
  • Performing due diligence checks on new suppliers

Profile

The successful candidate should have:

  • Proven experience in a similar role
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and accounting software
  • Strong understanding of General Ledger and Bookkeeping principles
  • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to analyse complex financial data
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
