Bookkeeper - Full-Time or Part-Time
Overview
Our client, a well-established firm, is looking for a Bookkeeper to join their team on a full-time or part-time basis. The role will begin with reconciling two years' worth of bank transactions and then transition into ongoing bookkeeping responsibilities, ensuring the company’s financial records remain accurate and well-organised. Reporting to the in-house accountant, this is a great opportunity for an experienced bookkeeper looking for a stable, long-term position.
Responsibilities
- Initial phase: Reconcile two years' worth of bank transactions, ensuring accuracy and proper categorisation.
- Ongoing duties:
- Manage day-to-day bookkeeping, including bank reconciliations and transaction processing.
- Maintain financial records and ensure all transactions are properly documented.
- Assist in preparing financial reports and liaising with management on financial matters.
- Work closely with the in-house accountant to support financial operations.
- Handle any ad hoc bookkeeping tasks as required.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or Accountant.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
- Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles, bank reconciliations, and financial reporting.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Strong communication skills to liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders.
Key Details
Salary: £37,000 - £43,000 (pro-rata for part-time).
Job Type: Permanent, full-time or part-time.
Location: On-site - Central London
Hours: Flexible for part-time candidates; full-time hours available.
