A popular two-form entry primary school situated in Barnet are looking to hire a Level 2 Qualified Teaching Assistant to join their friendly and supportive team. This lovely school has an excellent reputation for academic results and pastoral care abd recently received an OFSTED grading of outstanding.

Role Overview:

This wonderful primary school are seeking a highly motivated Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join their team. This is a fixed-term contract for 32.5 hours per week, term time only. The successful candidate will work 1-1 with a child with special educational needs, providing tailored support to enhance their learning experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1-1 support to a child with special educational needs.
  • Assist in the planning and delivery of tailored learning activities.
  • Implement behaviour management strategies to support the child's development.
  • Maintain a good standard of spoken and written English.
  • Liaise with teachers and other professionals regarding the child's progress.
  • Provide feedback to parents/carers when needed.
  • Work under pressure and use initiative to address challenges.
  • Be flexible to work with children with special needs according to the needs of the school.

Person Specification:

  • Experience of working directly with children in a school setting.
