A popular two-form entry primary school situated in Barnet are looking to hire a Level 2 Qualified Teaching Assistant to join their friendly and supportive team. Role Overview:
This wonderful primary school are seeking a highly motivated Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join their team. This is a fixed-term contract for 32.5 hours per week, term time only. The successful candidate will work 1-1 with a child with special educational needs, providing tailored support to enhance their learning experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1-1 support to a child with special educational needs.
- Assist in the planning and delivery of tailored learning activities.
- Implement behaviour management strategies to support the child's development.
- Maintain a good standard of spoken and written English.
- Liaise with teachers and other professionals regarding the child's progress.
- Provide feedback to parents/carers when needed.
- Work under pressure and use initiative to address challenges.
- Be flexible to work with children with special needs according to the needs of the school.
Person Specification:
- Experience of working directly with children in a school setting.
- Good behaviour management strategies.
- A good standard of spoken and written English.
- Ability to work under pressure and use initiative.
- Flexibility to work with children with special needs.
