Job: Complex Needs Support Worker

Location: Barnet

Rate: 18 P/H

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of people experiencing homelessness? We are seeking dedicated Complex Needs Project Workers to join our team in Finchley, supporting adults with a history of homelessness and rough sleeping.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a caseload of 8-12 clients, conducting regular key working sessions to develop person-centred, trauma-informed support plans.
  • Complete thorough risk and needs assessments and create risk management plans.
  • Work collaboratively with external agencies to address client needs such as mental health, substance use, and complex trauma.
  • Support clients to maintain accommodation, maximize their income, and build budgeting skills.
  • Assist clients in accessing work, education, or training opportunities.
  • Prepare and let rooms promptly, manage referrals, and ensure the safety of the premises through regular checks.
  • Promote recovery-focused activities and support peer involvement within the service.

What We're Looking For:

  • Experience working with clients who have complex needs, including homelessness, mental health challenges, or substance use.
  • A non-judgmental, trauma-informed approach to supporting clients through change.
  • Strong partnership working skills to achieve positive outcomes for clients.
  • Proven ability to manage challenging situations calmly and effectively.
  • Knowledge of financial support systems and an understanding of professional boundaries.
  • Strong IT and administrative skills to maintain accurate records.
