Job Description:

Our client is seeking a reliable and proactive Warehouse Operative with a Driving Licence to join their team in North Finchley, N12. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual with a keen interest in building a career, learning new skills, and taking on a variety of tasks in a dynamic warehouse environment. The role involves both warehouse duties and furniture assembly, making it ideal for candidates with prior experience in assembly, carpentry, or as a handyman.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Warehouse Duties: General warehouse responsibilities including receiving, storing, and organizing goods, as well as preparing items for delivery.
  • Van Driving: Safely drive a company van for deliveries of furniture parts and other items to customers, ensuring all deliveries are completed efficiently and on time.
  • Furniture Assembly: Assemble flat-pack furniture accurately and efficiently at the warehouse or on-site if required. Experience in furniture assembly is highly desirable.
  • Customer Service: Provide professional service when delivering items, ensuring customers' needs are met and any queries are addressed in a friendly manner.
  • Inventory Management: Assist with stock control, ensuring all items are logged correctly and inventory levels are maintained.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues to maintain a smooth workflow and ensure timely completion of tasks.
  • Health and Safety: Follow all health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment.

Requirements:

  • Full UK Driving Licence: Must be able to drive a van for deliveries and collections.
  • Experience in Furniture Assembly: Previous experience in assembling flat-pack furniture is highly desirable.
  • Background in Handyman or Carpentry: A background in handyman services, carpentry, or similar trade is an advantage.
  • Warehouse Experience: Experience in a warehouse setting is beneficial, but not essential.
