SHIFTS: 0600 to 1500 & 0900 to 1800. Week about. Call out is 1 in 5 & Saturdays and Sundays are overtime

Resourcing Group have an exciting opportunity to join a company specialising in technical services, FM, regeneration and energy services. My client is looking for an M&E Technician based in Barnet.

Job overview:

Leading role requiring a thorough understanding of engineering building services installation and maintenance techniques. To apply trade skills and experience to ensure the satisfactory completion of allocated maintenance, breakdown repairs,

installation, new and refurbishment works.

Must have NVQ Level 3

Job responsibilities:


To take responsibility for all works issued and to ensure that all attendance and rectification

times are achieved. Where not possible, to escalate to line Manager in good time in order that appropriate action can be taken to mitigate financial penalty risk.


To manage working day efficiently and to escalate to line Manager should support or assistance be required to achieve this.


To strictly follow the business Health and Safety processes - where risks are identified (to self or others), to make safe where possible and escalate to line manager immediately so

that risk can be addressed appropriately.


Ensure that all works assigned are managed so far as attendance and completion times, and that works orders are completed and update to the CAFM system (Maximo). Reports should be concise and include all relevant information to ensure that the workflow process is

seamless.


Responsible for the safe operation, planned and reactive maintenance of mechanical/electrical systems, associated plant/equipment installed throughout the Site.


To maintain and carry out repairs on HVAC systems, gas appliances, Piped Medical Gas systems, steam plant/equipment and all other equipment in plant rooms, patient areas and other departments.


Works will involve working in a live Hospital environment, working at height (Podiums), using hand tools, power tools and workshop machinery/equipment for larger repairs (Doors

etc). All PPE and training as appropriate will be provided.


Work autonomously and as part of a team as appropriate - working day will consist of arranging works, access equipment as required and ensuring all safety protocols are In place prior to starting works. Work will predominantly be in a live Hospital environment, where staff, patients and visitors are present - it is critical that all precautions are taken to

ensure safe working.

Ensure that correct PPE is used and worn for all tasks and that all reports follow safety instructions, and works safely in regards to members of the public in Hospital grounds and

elsewhere.


Due to the manual nature of the role, care and consideration is to be taken when working, particularly when using power tools and when moving tools and equipment throughout the Hospital. You must adhere to the businesses safe working practices, and use the PPE, equipment and facilities made available to avoid all risk to yourself and others - any concerns should be raised immediately to your line Manager or team member


Work with the overall team and assist in other works where reasonable and instructed by line Manager or Management.


Ensure that uniform is worn at all times, and that a professional image is presented to our client, and all members of staff and visitors to the Hospital.
