We are delighted to be working exclusively with Noah's Ark Children's Hospice to resource a key leadership Director of People role.

The Hospice are dedicated to helping children who are seriously unwell make the most of every day. We are seeking an exceptional Director of People to lead their HR strategies, supporting their mission and to help foster a vibrant workplace culture.

About the Role:As the Director of People, you will play a pivotal role in shaping their people strategy and aligning it with their organisational goals. You will work closely with the Chief Executive and lead a dedicated team to ensure HR practises are effective and supportive.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement a comprehensive people strategy that aligns with their organisational vision.
  • Talent Management: Create a talent management strategy with succession planning to ensure they have a robust talent pipeline.
  • Recognition and Reward: Ensure that their recognition and reward system aligns with the organisations values and goals whilst ensuring it motivates and retains top talent
  • Performance Management: Revise and oversee performance management processes that align with their unique organisational culture.
  • Employee Relations: Cultivate a positive work environment by managing employee relations issues and fostering open communication.
  • Learning & Development: Design career development initiatives that empower their employees and volunteers to reach their full potential.
  • Equality & Diversity: Lead their commitment to equality and diversity, ensuring inclusive practises across the organisation.

What You will Bring:

  • Proven experience as a senior HR professional, ideally in a health/social care charity or similar organisation.
  • Exceptional leadership skills with a track record of building high-performing teams.
  • Strategic thinker with experience translating vision into actionable plans.
  • Strong knowledge of HR regulations and best practises.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to foster relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion principles.
  • Experience managing a volunteer workforce would be advantageous.
