Join our client's busy and friendly legal practice, which has been serving the local communities for almost 100 years. They are recruiting for an Accounts Assistant to support their Accounts and Payroll Manager at office in North London, on the borders of Enfield and Barnet. This role involves a variety of legal accounting and bookkeeping tasks, making it ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment. It is suitable for a more junior candidate that would like a career as a Legal Cahier, or a more experienced candidate. 

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Assist with all legal accounting and bookkeeping tasks including e-chits, bank reconciliations, settling and posting invoices.
  • Prepare and check financial statements.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end tasks.
  • Set up payments and manage financial records.
  • Provide holiday cover for the Accounts and Payroll Manager.
  • Help with inputting time recording and answering incoming calls on behalf of the practice.
  • Receive training in all areas of your role and undertake regular training on accountancy and regulatory rule updates.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Previous experience in a similar role within a legal or financial setting is advantageous but not essential.
