The Payroll Bureau is a perfect place to grow, and this is a fantastic opportunity for anyone with some experience in payroll who wants to develop their career, you will ideally have worked in a practice or payroll bureau

Requirements:

  • Full time: 9:00am -17:00pm (office based till the end of tax year and hybrid starting from April)
  • Minimum between 1-2 years experience

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing a portfolio of client payrolls being weekly, 2 weekly, 4 weekly, and monthly.
  • Accurately process payroll (end to end) including pension and RTI update.
  • Analyse payroll data for discrepancies and resolve any issues.
  • Prepare statutory deductions, attachment orders and other earnings/deductions.
  • Holiday calculations and pension administration (changes, auto enrolment etc.)
  • Dealing with BACs payments, and manual calculations -SMP, SSP, SPP / pension uploads.
  • Process P60, P45 and P46 submissions.
  • Liaise with 3rd parties for PAYE/Pension queries.
  • Processing salary adjustments, bonusing & commissions.

Knowledge and Experience:

  • Use of SAGE 50 payroll software is ideal but not essential as training will be provided
  • Ability to work on own initiative, working within a team and the ability to meet deadlines
  • Strong communication skills (both verbal and written English) and confidence when dealing with clients
  • Good organisation skills, attention to detail and ability to manage sensitive financial information
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • A strong team player who is willing to actively work across the team, adopting a can-do and flexible attitude
