SEN/SEMH Maths Teacher

We are seeking a SEN Maths Teacher to join a dynamic team working in an Autism school via agency placement. The ASD school caters to students who require alternative education provision, often due to emotional, behavioural, or medical challenges. Your role will be crucial in helping these students re-engage with education and develop essential numeracy skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and differentiated Maths lessons tailored to meet the needs of SEN students.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Work closely with a multi-disciplinary team, including support staff, therapists, and educational psychologists.
  • Assess, monitor, and report on student progress, adapting teaching strategies where necessary.
  • Manage behaviour effectively and promote a supportive classroom atmosphere.
  • Develop individual education plans (IEPs) and ensure learning objectives are met.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience working with SEN students Strong subject knowledge in Maths with the ability to differentiate for a range of abilities.
