Great opportunity for Sports Graduates and Sports Coaches!

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Sports Coach or Sports Graduate or someone with a keen interest in Sport, to work as a dedicated Teaching Assistant. The secondary school, based in Barnet, is looking for an enthusiastic team player who is keen to inspire young learners by providing and supporting high quality teaching and enjoyable lessons. You will have a desire for working with young people and be looking to make a real difference.

This would be a full-time role and would be perfect for somebody that is looking to be a PE Teacher in future, wants to gain experience working with children or is looking for a career in the sports sector. After you are settled into your role as a Teaching Assistant, there could also be opportunities to support in the PE department.

This role would involve:

  • Supporting the class teacher in the delivery of lessons
  • Organising and collecting resources for the lessons
  • Deliver interventions, including those that are movement-based
  • Use enthusiasm to encourage children to become involved in lessons
