Operations Support Assistant

We are seeking an Operations Support Assistant to join our Construction Services team at Berneslai Homes. This role is crucial in supporting the Operations Section to meet client requirements and contribute to the overall objectives of the organisation. The ideal candidate will ensure the delivery of a highly efficient, economic, safe, customer-focused, and high-quality service to all clients.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Assist in the delivery of the Berneslai Homes Delivery Plan, the HRA Business Plan, and the Stock Maintenance Performance Management Plan.
  • Develop and implement service improvements to increase effectiveness, efficiency, and eliminate waste.
  • Contribute to achieving Best Value through reviews and performance plans.
  • Produce reports for Operational Managers on installation, repairs, and maintenance, including job costs.
  • Resolve queries and enquiries from tenants, clients, customers, and stakeholders.
  • Prepare correspondence and collate information for final accounts and valuations.
  • Process material and equipment requisitions and ensure the maintenance and calibration of testing equipment.
  • Provide technical support on Capital works projects and Repairs and Maintenance.
  • Maintain a customer-focused approach and ensure the best quality of service is delivered.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Educated to NVQ level 3 or equivalent, or able to demonstrate relevant experience in a similar field.
  • Experience in Construction, Engineering, Maintenance, or Manufacturing environments.
  • Experience providing technical support to operational management.
  • Substantial knowledge of issues relating to the delivery of services within Construction, Repairs, and Maintenance.
  • An understanding of Financial Regulations related to procurement rules.
  • Demonstrated positive, flexible approach to team working.
  • Commitment to working safely within the workplace.
