Operations Support Officer

We are seeking an Operations Support Officer to join our team on a temporary basis. This role is crucial in supporting the Operations Section of Construction Services at Berneslai Homes, ensuring the delivery of a highly efficient, economic, safe, and customer-focused service.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Work closely with Operations Managers to deliver service improvements and ensure the provision of top-quality services.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of good working practices adhering to Health and Safety and Equality and Diversity policies.
  • Handle sensitive information with strict confidentiality and compliance with data protection and freedom of information laws.
  • Maintain information systems according to service requirements.
  • Participate in identifying training needs and undertake relevant training as per Personal Development Reviews (PDRs).
  • Proactively address equality and diversity issues within the service.
  • Attend meetings, team briefings, and conferences with both internal and external bodies as required.
  • Support other members of the Directorate as needed.
  • Contribute to the delivery and development of Berneslai Homes Delivery Plan, HRA Business Plan, and Stock Maintenance Performance Management Plan.
  • Assist in producing reports for Operational Managers on installation, repairs, maintenance, and job costs.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • NVQ level 3 or equivalent, or substantial experience in a similar role within Construction, Engineering, Maintenance, or Manufacturing environments.
  • Experience providing technical support to operational management, including understanding procedures to improve service delivery.
  • In-depth knowledge of issues related to service delivery within Construction, Repairs, and Maintenance sectors.
  • Awareness of Financial Regulations related to procurement rules.
