Commissioning Engineer - Yorkshire Water patch

J3A Recruitment are proud to be working witha leading UK infrastructure business whospecialise in the delivery of vital projects across a range of sectors including highways, education, defence, health, aviation, environmental and water.

Due to a healthyworkload with AMP 8 right around the corner, they are now seeking a highly trained and experiencedCommissioning Engineer toassist the site team in the supervision and commissioning of various projects.

Role of Commissioning Engineer

  • Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Control and Automation (MEICA) installations predominate when delivering water sector asset improvements.
  • You will plan, co-ordinate and resource the off and on-site process and MEICA commissioning activities
  • Work with the Production Team and other subject experts to formulate a detailed and timed Commissioning Delivery Plan

What you will be doing as Commissioning Engineer

  • Work with Project Teams and Yorkshire Water to generate Commissioning Plans during Project Brief/Outline Design stage
  • Put in place robust commissioning processes and procedures that reflect the Company and Yorkshire Water requirements and facilitate exceptional commissioning performance
  • Work closely with Project Managers to provide technical expertise and deliver all commissioning activities
  • Ensure that great quality Operation and Maintenance Manuals are produced and that training of Thames Water personnel is undertaken.

To be considered as Commissioning Engineer

  • You will have a detailed and competent technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical and chemical engineering commissioning. This would ideally be in the water sector, but this is not essential.
  • Minimum HNC qualified in a mechanical, electrical or chemical engineering subject.
  • Professional qualification is desirable.
  • SMSTS safety qualification
  • CSCS card
