Sonic Summary

People Solutions is seeking a HGV Class 2 Driver for ongoing work in Barnsley, South Yorkshire, with shifts starting between 7:00 AM and 7:30 AM, lasting up to 12 hours.
The pay rate for this position is £15.00 per hour, with benefits including competitive pay, free site parking, and the potential for permanent employment.
Candidates must hold a valid UK Category C Driving Licence for at least 6 months, along with a valid UK CPC card and Digi Card, and should have no more than six penalty points.
While experience in making pallet deliveries is desirable, it is not essential, and excellent communication and customer service skills are required.

CLASS 2 DRIVER

MONDAY - FRIDAY: 7.00AM/7.30AM STARTS (UP-TO 12 HOUR SHIFTS)

PAY RATE: £15.00 PER HOUR

Day to Day duties

Working as a HGV Class 2 Driver your duties will include but not limited to:

Drive a Class 2 Vehicle safely and efficiently
Make on time deliveries
Deliver pallets
Deliveries to residential and business'
Ensure load is strapped correctly
Curtain side vehicles
Use of pump truck and tail lift
Make collections where required
Conduct pre and post vehicle checks
Ensure all paperwork is updated correctly
Communicate with the transport team regularly
Abide by driving rules and regulations
Follow company policies and procedures
Go the extra mile
Provide excellent customer service

Essential Skills

As a HGV Class 2 Driver you will need to:

Hold a valid UK Category C Driving Licence for a minimum of 6 months
Hold a valid UK CPC card and Digi Card
No more than six penalty points
No major endorsement codes
Excellent communication skills
Good customer service skills

Desirable experience

Experience working as a HGV Class 2 driver making pallet deliveries is desirable but not essential.

Training

Driving assessment may be required for this role.
