CNC Operator 6-Month Contract (Outside IR35) Barnsley
We are looking for an experiencedCNC Operatorto join a specialist engineering company inBarnsleyon a6-month contract, with a high probability of extension. This is a hands-on role in asmall but well-establishedbusiness that designs and manufactures mechanical components for theaerospace, aviation, and civil engineering industries.
Role Overview:
- Setting up and operatingCNC milling and turning machinesto produce precision components.
- Reading and interpretingCAD drawingsto ensure accurate machining.
- Working onassembly and productiontasks as required.
- Conductingreverse engineeringto replicate and improve components.
- Performing quality checks using measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers.
- Adjusting machine settings to maintain precision and efficiency.
Requirements:
- Proven experience inCNC milling and turningin a manufacturing or engineering environment.
- Ability to read and understandCAD drawings.
- Experience inassembly and production processes.
- Familiarity withreverse engineering techniques.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work independently and meet production targets.
Contract Details:
- Rate:Circa£20 per hour(Outside IR35)
- Duration:6 months, with a strong chance of extension
- Location:Barnsley on-site5 days per week
- Hours:40 hours per week, with potential forovertime
