This contractor are a well-known name in the industry with a strong reputation for quality within their long-standing team. They pride themselves on delivering efficient solutions for a number of clients from housing to commercial & industrial. The business operates from a Yorkshire office & has a large number of live projects on the ground across Midlands, Yorkshire, North West & surrounding areas. Company turnover is circa. 50m per annum with other workforces established across England.
Projects cover:brownfield, remediation, bulk earthworks, muck shift, soil stabilization, contaminated land & general civils packages.
Please note: this role covers the North of England so travel will be required to sites - overnight stays from Monday to Thursday will be required if work is over 1 hour away. (Fully paid for by company + daily wage uplift).
Duties as Site Supervisor / General Foreman:
- Plant checks
- HSE toolbox talks
- Delivering daily briefings
- Monitoring H&S on site
- Amending RAMS & site documentation
- Supervision of sub-contractors and direct labour gangs
- Writing permits & documentation
- Attending progress meetings
- Liaison with Project Manager meet deadlines & targets
Experience Required:
- Must haveexperience as General Foreman / Site Supervisordelivering remediation / bulk earthworks related schemes
- Must have experience of managing workforces made up of both sub-contractor & direct staff
- Must hold: CSCS, SMSTS, First Aidand full driving license
Remuneration:
On offer is a salary of up to55,000 (dependant on experience) plus...

Daily uplift in wage will be given when working away & accommodation paid for up front by company so no cost to staff.
