JOB OVERVIEW

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Technical Trainer / Multi-Skilled Technical Training Instructorwho has experience in training and development preferably in an engineering / industrial / health & safety / construction and trades / fabrication / heavy plant industry or similar.

Working as the Technical Trainer / Multi-Skilled Technical Training Instructor you will be responsible for delivering training programmes for clients in South Yorkshire and Bristol.

The training programmes will include any of the following:

  • Overhead cranes
  • Forklift trucks, Side loaders, Shunters
  • Banksman training
  • Manual handling
  • First Aid
  • Face fit testing
  • Fire Marshall
  • Level 2 & 3 Fabrication & Welding

As the Technical Trainer / Multi-Skilled Technical Training Instructor your role involves developing training materials, conducting training sessions and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.

DUTIES

Your duties as the Technical Trainer / Multi-Skilled Technical Training Instructor will include:

  • Develop and Deliver Training Programs
  • Create comprehensive training materials and courses
  • Conduct engaging and effective training sessions for clients’ employees at various skill levels
  • Ensure all training programs meet industry standards and safety regulations
  • Evaluate and Assess Training Needs
  • Identify training needs through assessments, surveys, and employee feedback
  • Continuously improve training programs based on evaluation results and industry advancements. Maintain Training Records and Compliance
  • Keep accurate records of all training activities, including attendance and assessment results
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations
  • Provide Ongoing Support and Guidance
  • Offer additional support and coaching as needed
  • Stay updated on the latest industry trends and best practices in training and development

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

Skills and Experience

  • Previous experience in training and development, preferably in engineering / industrial / health & safety / construction and trades / fabrication / heavy plant or a similar industry
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering similar training
  • Must have a full clean driving licence and access to own vehicle
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Strong organisational and time-management abilities
  • Ability to adapt training materials to various learning styles and levels of experience
  • Proficiency in using training software and tools

Qualifications (Preferred)

  • Level 3 Award in Education and Training (or willing to work towards this)
  • RTITB Qualified Forklift Truck Instructor (or similar)
  • RTITB Banksman Trained Instructor (or similar)
  • First Aid At Work (FAW) Certificate
  • HABC Recognised Instructor (or similar)
  • Level 2 Fire Safety Awareness (HABC, Qualsafe or FAIB Recognised)
  • NEBOSH or Fit2Fit Face Fit accredited Tester
  • Level 3 Qualifications in Welding or Substantial Experience at a similar level
