- Operate and drive an LGV waste collection vehicle, ensuring the safe and efficient collection of bins.
- Supervise and support a small team, ensuring daily waste collection tasks are completed effectively.
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness, conduct daily vehicle checks, and report any defects.
- Ensure compliance with all Health & Safety regulations and promote a safe working environment.
- Engage with members of the public courteously and professionally, addressing minor service requests.
- Use electronic handheld devices to track and report tasks.
- Provide training and guidance to apprentices or new team members when required.
- Valid UK Category C driving licence (LGV)
- Valid CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence)
- Experience working as a team leader or foreman in a similar environment
- Experience in waste management operations
- Knowledge of Health & Safety regulations applicable to waste collection
- Strong communication skills and a customer-focused attitude
- Ability to work in all weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks.
