Your new companyHays Senior Finance is delighted to be partnering with a growing international organisation with offices based in the South Yorkshire region who are looking to add a Senior Finance Manager to their growing finance team due to a sustained period of high growth and transformation.Your new roleMain Responsibilities include;

  • Responsible for timely month end close across multiple entities in US and Canada plus support to other geographies
  • Ensure correct posting and reconciliations of payroll, COS, and prepayment journals across multiple entities
  • Full reconciliation of GL codes on a monthly basis
  • Initial presentation of draft P&L, margin, accruals, balance sheet for each entity
  • Support and reconciliation of Sales Tax/GST/VAT submissions and payments
  • Other Ad Hoc tasks required to deliver a timely month-end
  • Preparation and support for year-end accounts and audit
  • Inputs into statutory accounts and corporation tax computations for UK companies as required
  • As senior role in the Barnsley office, assume local leadership for teams with non-local line management.
  • Support the integration and accounting for new acquisitions as required

What you'll need to succeed

  • Accountancy Qualification
  • Advanced MS Excel skills
  • Proven experience in accounting including financial accounts
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex financial information for non-finance stakeholders
  • Business acumen and ability to understand the impact of business chance on financial accounts
