We are seeking a Damp, Mould & Disrepair Manager to lead our dedicated team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations, ensuring performance targets are met and that all works and projects are delivered efficiently, in line with business objectives and regulatory standards.

Day to day of the role:
  • Oversee the management of the Damp, Mould & Disrepair team to ensure inspections are completed within the timeframes set by HHSRS assessments.
  • Develop, procure, deliver, monitor, and review all related works and projects, including making operational and financial decisions.
  • Provide data and reports on status, progress, ad-hoc updates, key issues, trends, and mitigation strategies.
  • Maintain digital records of Housing Stock and other premises to ensure data is up-to-date and used in the decision-making process.
  • Represent the organisation and utilise external networks to identify and implement innovative practices, actively seeking and rolling out best practice within the sector.
  • Collaborate with other service areas to lead the development and review of Strategy, Policy, Specification, and Action Plans.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Relevant Level 6 qualification or extensive experience in a similar role.
  • Management qualification or proven experience in management and leading a team.
  • Membership of a Construction Industry related Professional Body (e.g., CIOB, RICS) or willingness to achieve this within an agreed timescale.
  • Excellent understanding of the RSH Homes Standard, Legislation in respect of Damp, Mould & Disrepair, and Landlords Statutory Duties.
  • Experience in contract managing Damp, Mould & Disrepair activities within domestic and non-domestic stocks.
  • Ability to diagnose building defects, make technical recommendations, and initiate actions for resolution.
