The Client:
Our client is a successful manufacturing company which offers various products made from concrete into the construction sector, they are part of a bigger organisation and offer a range of services to clients including Design, Manufacturing, Project Management and Installation.
The Job Role:
The Planner is responsible for supporting the daily planning and coordination of Designs and Contract Planning, which includes ordering products and transportation, as well as procuring any necessary goods. Additionally, the individual in this role will be expected to offer support to the estimating team. You will be given the chance to gain qualifications in appropriate areas and build a long-term career with the business, including progression opportunities.
Responsibilities:
To uphold the highest Health and Safety standards to ensure a safe working environment.
To assist the General Manager in pre-design and contract planning efforts.
To support the General Manager in the procurement of machinery and tools, plus other necessary consumables.
To oversee the organisation of design and installation schedules, ensuring they are issued and approved prior to production, with a focus on advance planning whenever feasible.
To coordinate the planning of installation teams and collaborate with the appropriate personnel regarding orders and deliveries.
To engage with the sales team concerning new orders and installation dates, ensuring all lead times are realistic and achievable prior to order confirmation.
To support the external Transport Manager with load scheduling, dispatching orders, and handling related administrative tasks, including tracking weekly transport costs.
To maintain and update design and transport logs following the delivery of goods.
To ensure that on-site systems and processes are correctly adhered to, and to implement new systems and procedures as necessary for the efficient operation of the site.
To perform any ad hoc tasks as assigned by the Planning and Transport Managers.
Maintain positive working relationships with all colleagues, managers, and offer strong customer service skills.
