Cover Supervisors – KS3 to KS4

Salary: £94 to £115 per day (Depending on experience)

If so, GSL Education are seeking Cover Supervisors (CS) to support KS3 and KS4 students in schools across Barnsley. This role is ideal for individuals considering a career in teaching or those with experience working with young people in an educational environment.
Role Overview:
As a Cover Supervisor (CS), you will take responsibility for supervising lessons in the absence of a teacher, ensuring students remain engaged with their learning. You will deliver pre-planned lesson materials, manage classroom behaviour, and provide support to students where needed.
Key Responsibilities of Cover Supervisor (CS):
- Supervise students in the absence of the classroom teacher, ensuring lesson continuity.
- Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans and maintain a positive learning environment.
- Uphold school behaviour policies and encourage student participation.
- Provide assistance to students, ensuring they remain on task and engaged.
- Adapt to different subject areas and school environments as required.
Ideal Candidate:
- Previous experience working with young people in an educational, coaching, or mentoring capacity.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- A confident and adaptable approach to working in different classroom settings.
- A degree or equivalent qualification is advantageous but not essential.
- A passion for supporting students and contributing to their education.
