We are seeking an enthusiastic and proactive Neighbourhood Officer to join a dynamic housing team. This is a highly visible, front-line role responsible for delivering a responsive and customer-focused tenancy and estate management service. You'll play a critical part in sustaining tenancies, ensuring community safety, and maintaining high standards across neighbourhoods, making a real difference to residents and the wider community.

The Role
路Deliver a proactive and effective neighbourhood management service, addressing tenancy breaches and anti-social behaviour within agreed timescales.
路Manage void properties, ensuring rapid turnaround and meeting performance targets for re-letting.
路Conduct welcome visits for new tenants, explain tenancy obligations, and identify vulnerabilities or safeguarding concerns to provide tailored support and referrals.
路Work with tenants, resident associations, and community groups to address local priorities, including organizing minor environmental clean-up campaigns.
路Collaborate with other teams, external agencies, and service providers to support community cohesion and resolve local issues effectively.
路Participate in regular inspections of communal areas and Independent Living Schemes, identifying and addressing repair or maintenance needs promptly.
路Maintain accurate records of actions, inspections, and referrals, ensuring compliance with policies and data protection standards.

The Ideal Candidate
路NVQ Level 3/BTEC National Certificate or equivalent, or significant relevant experience.
路Proven background in social housing, tenancy or estate management, or community safety work.
路Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines, and work effectively with residents, colleagues, and external partners.
路Confident using Microsoft Office and bespoke IT systems to maintain records and deliver results.
路Willingness to work flexible hours and travel as required to meet the needs of the service.
路Strong understanding of local housing issues and a commitment to promoting equality and diversity in service delivery.
