Planning Support Officer
  • Location: Barnsley S70
  • Job Type: Full-time office based, Monday-Friday 8am-4pm
  • Salary: £14.40 per hour PAYE

My client are seeking a Planning Support Officer to join their team and contribute to the efficient scheduling and dispatching of work. This role is integral to ensuring that their Craft staffing resources are utilized effectively and that all works involving Building Safety are correctly prioritized and monitored to maintain 100% compliance.

Day to Day of the role:
  • Electronically schedule and reschedule work to operatives in coordination with Operational Managers.
  • Innovate and implement new ways of working to increase efficiency and productivity within Construction Services.
  • Prioritize and track compliance and health and safety works, maintaining records and anniversary dates.
  • Collaborate with the Support Team to develop and improve mobile working technology systems.
  • Respond to customer and partner enquiries, resolving queries and providing information.
  • Review protocols and produce management information related to work scheduling, monitoring performance against Key Performance Indicators.
  • Regularly liaise with partners, contractors, and colleagues to review and improve the efficiency of Construction Services.
  • Administer the scheduling of cyclical orders and communicate with customers as needed.
  • Ensure emergency repairs are completed within set timescales by coordinating with the Contact Centre and colleagues.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • 4 GCSEs (Grade A – C) or equivalent qualification and/or extensive experience in a similar role.
  • Positive and flexible attitude towards teamwork.
  • Significant experience in a Repairs Service/Planning environment.
  • Customer-focused service delivery experience.
  • Proficiency in computerised work scheduling software and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Analytical skills to assess service delivery problems and solutions.
  • Ability to organise and prioritise workload, meet deadlines, and work independently.
