- Supervise waste collection crews and manage daily operational functions, including maintaining records (both paper-based and electronic handheld devices)
- Carry out physically and mentally demanding tasks in all weather conditions
- Ensure the safe collection of waste bins along your designated route, safeguarding the wellbeing of employees, colleagues, and members of the public
- Operate mechanical machinery for emptying refuse containers
- Maintain and ensure the cleanliness, maintenance, and security of vehicles, plant, and equipment
- Work independently or under the guidance of a line manager to deliver services efficiently and effectively
- Adhere to all Health & Safety regulations, including safe working practices and CPC guidelines.
- Valid UK Driving Licence (Category C1)
- Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC)
- Experience in a team leader, foreman, or equivalent supervisory role
- Experience working in a waste management environment
- Strong understanding of Health & Safety regulations and practices.
- Ability to communicate effectively, follow instructions, and provide practical support to colleagues.
