Sharp Consultancy is delighted to be working with a rapidly growing manufacturing company in the Barnsley area, seeking a motivated Accounts Assistant to assist their team throughout a transitional period.

This company are undergoing a system implementation at the beginning of 2025 and so are in need of additional support within the finance team throughout the busy period. Although offered as a 6-month interim appointment, there is the potential for the role to be extended or transition into a permanent position for the right candidate.

Key responsibilities include:

Processing invoices.
Maintaining accurate ledgers (sales and purchase).
Performing reconciliations.
Communicate effectively with suppliers and resolve invoice queries.
Assist occasionally with credit control duties, as and when required.
Help with ad-hoc finance tasks.

Skills Required:

Proven experience in a similar role.
Strong communication skills for interacting with customers and internal teams.
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
Experience with accounting software is advantageous.
