Acorn by Synergie is seeking an experienced HR Advisor for their client based in North Devon. This is a partially remote position, with the successful candidate required to travel and work from North Devon, travel and accommodation costs covered by the business.

Applications from local candidates who can commute daily to the office are also highly desirable.

Position Overview

As a HR Advisor, you will play a vital role in supporting the HR department and managerial team in various aspects of employee relations. This role is ideal for someone who is experienced in handling their own case work and has experience in handling complex employee relations matters.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide advice and guidance to line managers on all employee relations matters, including case work, disciplinaries, and grievances

- Build and maintain strong relationships with employees at all levels, promoting a positive and productive work environment

- Offer support and guidance to employees, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures

- Manage and resolve employee relations issues, balancing the needs of the business and the well-being of employees

- Keep accurate records and monitor HR metrics to identify any trends or areas for improvement

- Stay up-to-date with employment law changes and update company policies accordingly

- Provide coaching and development for managers, promoting best practices in managing employee relations

- Collaborate with the HR team to implement performance management and employee engagement initiatives

- Provide training to employees on HR policies and procedures

Qualifications and Experience

- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field

- CIPD Level 5 or above certification

- Previous experience as an HR Advisor

- Excellent understanding and application of employment law and HR best practices

- Experience in handling employee relations matters such as disciplinaries, grievances, and performance management

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to build and maintain relationships with employees at all levels

- Proficient in MS Office and HRIS systems

- Ability to work independently and in a team environment

- Proven ability to handle confidential employee information and data
