Human Resources Business Partner x 2 - Barnstaple - Circa: £34,000 + Exceptional benefits

Well Placed HR have been engaged by a new client, a well-established and highly regarded education service provider that have tasked us with sourcing 2 x HR Business Partner’s to join their people management team. Both opportunities are offered as full time, permanent contracts, to be predominantly based in Barnstaple but with a degree of travel to other sites. This employer also offers one day of remote working if required and to suit current commercial requirements. Both roles are offered with exceptional benefits to include very generous holiday allowance an enhanced pension scheme.

Working as part of a large and highly experienced people management function, the key focus of this role will be to work closely alongside department heads across two business sites to ensure a fantastic employee experience. Key responsibilities to include:

- Develop and implement staff retention initiatives

- Work closely with senior leadership team to develop employment opportunities and CPD strategies

- Provide high quality and accurate employee relations advice to line managers and wider employees

- Ensure best practice and compliance in line with this employers’ policies

- Lead and develop in all areas of employee relations, support and development

- Act as a key point of contact for department managers ensuring compliance with employment law

- Lead and develop a small team of HR support staff and delegating HRM project responsibilities

- Develop and deliver high quality training programmes to include mental health and wellbeing initiatives

- Assume a key role in coordinating recruitment initiatives and onboarding programs

- Support the Director of Organisational Development on a range of ongoing HRM projects

- Deputise for the Director of Organisational Development as and when required

For this role we seek an experienced HR generalist/BP with at least one year of experience gained at supervisory level. Applicants will ideally be operating at CIPD level 5 or above, or be able to demonstrate strong vocational experience in as similar role. Experience gained in an education/public services environment would be highly desirable although we welcome applicants with general commercial experience. You’ll require up to date knowledge in a broad range of employment law and HR policies & procedures. The role will require an outgoing, persuasive nature and the ability to lead and influence colleagues across a wide range of departments and remits. Ideally, you’ll possess at least two years of well-rounded experience gained in a similar environment.
