Barnstaple based (with a mix of office and home-based working)

As a SEA Senior Systems Engineer you will take responsibility for the design and development and support of our products. You will be required to progress the design, development, design proving, test, commissioning and in-service support of the equipment as part of a multi-disciplined team. This work may involve sensitive information so the applicant must be able to obtain security clearance.

What youll be doing
  • Manage the capture, analysis, traceability, configuration and V&V of product requirements.
  • Support business development and bidding activities through technical work package definition and related resource effort estimation.
  • Coordinate and lead the delivery of engineering work packages.
  • Define system architectures that will drive system design.
  • Carry out functional and non-functional system analyses.
  • Lead system integration verification and validation activities and manage issue resolution.
  • Plan and track progress of engineering assignments within agreed schedules, to quality standards and budget in accordance with project and company processes.
  • Assist in the evaluation of new technology and methods.
  • Provide technical expertise and support to the Business Development function including the generation of technical proposals and bids.

The skills you need
  • Extensive Knowledge and experience of working within the Verification and Validation
  • A good understanding of requirements capture and experience of using DOORS to manage requirements
  • Knowledge and understanding of using MBSE
  • Strong Leadership and team leading capabilities
  • Experience of UK MOD Maritime Weapons Equipment
  • Excellent Communication Skills
