Tradewind are currently recruiting for an experienced Administrative/Reprographics Assistant to support in the school office of a mainstream Secondary school.

The role is to start ASAP until further notice. The School within the Barrow-in-Furness area is offering a long-term full-time placement, which could lead to a permanent role 5 days a week.

The school is based in Barrow-in-Furness and has excellent public transport links.

This Secondary School is rated 'Good' it aims to provide the highest standards of teaching and learning so that all children can achieve their academic potential. They ensure that they foster and develop the social and emotional well-being of their children as well as concentrating on developing the potential of their staff. They have a bespoke approach to every pupil and family.

To join us and be successful in this Administrative/Reprographics Assistant role you will need to:

  • They provide a happy safe caring environment for pupils and staff.
  • Manage manual & computerised record/information systems
  • Plan the day's jobs and print off materials required
  • Manage the reprographics services, including printing, bulk photocopying and binding materials for both staff and students
  • Administration of the Student Laptop Scheme working alongside the IT Team
  • Work as part of the front of house team greeting visitors, answering calls and responding to emails
  • Administration of student services including exclusions, inclusions, on calls, behaviour management etc
  • Assist with accurate filing, including archiving or electronic and paper records
  • To provide general administrative support and reception duties
  • This position is subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure
  • Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
  • Your CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible and any employment breaks must be explained
  • You must have the legal right to work in the UK

The successful candidate will:

  • Be proactive and willing to learn
  • Have strong organisational skills and good attention to detail
  • Be able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Basic IT skills including Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint
  • Be committed to maintaining confidentiality and professionalism
